Paris
Interior lighting design for a five-star hotel in the 8th arrondissement: the lobby, lounge, restaurant and bar, the library with its sculpture collection, the garden lounge, the patio and the suites.
2022 · Boutiques
Zurich, Switzerland
Lighting design for the Tiffany & Co. boutique at Globus in Zurich, with Archpro AG, using Flos Architectural fittings.
2020-2022 · Private residences
Cannes
Lighting design and supply for a private residence in the Californie quarter of Cannes: the interiors of the 450 m² apartment, the exterior and the garden, including a lit garden bridge.
2023-2026 · Private residences
French Riviera
Interior lighting and bespoke light sculptures for a private villa: the entrance pendants and the staircase sculpture.
Olesya Tarasova
I am an engineer. Since 2003 I have designed the lighting of luxury boutiques, hotels and villas, and today I also make the pieces that carry it.
Light gives a project its whole emotional dimension. Beautiful architecture, badly lit, looks ordinary. Well lit, it shows its full worth.
I don’t just make a pretty drawing and leave it there: I write the specifications, oversee the manufacturing and stay on site until switch-on.
The sculptural piece
One-of-a-kind pieces, designed and made for a single place: plaster, patinated bronze, alabaster, glass. In 2026 the studio developed its own fabrication technology, which puts the unique piece within reach.
Where
Based in Théoule-sur-Mer, on the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur), the studio works from Monaco to Aix-en-Provence, and in Switzerland.
